Provide support to the Exeter Jewish community with the preparation of meals for Shabbat; as part of their principal weekly worship experience. Supervise and teach students the necessary preparation of meals in advance.
•Responsible for purchasing all provisions needed in preparation of Shabbat within budget.
•Monitors quality and quantity of food prepared.
•Meets the diverse nutritional needs and preferences of the Exeter Jewish community by showing sensitivity to food allergies and health issues.
•Develops nutritional menus of meals in consultation with the Rabbi to be prepared for Shabbat.
•Maintains a safe, sanitary kitchen.
•Supervises students during the preparation of the meals and while cleaning and dismantling same and leave basement in a clean condition for next users.
•Trains and supervises student leaders as they prepare the meals on Thursday.
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Some college experience helpful.
•Experience with group meal preparations.
•Supervision and training experience.
•Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting preferred.
