Phillips Exeter Academy, located in Exeter, NH, is a highly selective coeducational independent school for boarding and day students in grades 9 through 12, and post-graduate level as well. The Position
The Music Performance Manager is responsible for planning and managing the Music Department’s Concert Series and performance tour program. The Performance Manager works with the Music Faculty to plan, schedule, curate, and provide logistical and managerial support for our Student Concerts, Faculty Concerts, and Guest Artists. The Performance Manager also works with the Music Faculty and the Global Initiatives Office to select a tour destination, create an itinerary, complete a site visit, and accompany the tour as the lead chaperone. Additional responsibilities include working with a tour company to plan the tour, and reconciling the tour budget.

Schedule: 1-year assignment. Approximately 990 annual hours. Schedule may vary according to departmental and Academy needs.

Education and Experience
• College degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years’ relevant experience.
• 2+ years’ administrative experience.
• Experience in music/performing arts desirable.

• Excellent management skills commensurate with planning, organizing, and executing annual Concert Series and Tours.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain collegial relationships.
• Proficiency in basic data management systems and computer applications (e.g., MS Office Suite), and ability to learn additional applications as needed.
• Professional judgment and demeanor in addressing student-related issues.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for working with adolescents.
• Demonstrated commitment to serving the needs of a diverse community.
• A strict adherence to confidentiality policies.
