Description
Phillips Exeter Academy, located in Exeter, NH, is a highly selective coeducational independent school for boarding and day students in grades 9 through 12, and post-graduate level as well. Our 671-acre campus is comprised of academic and residential buildings, a library, playing fields and sprawling green lawns; retaining our 18th century New England charm.

The Position
The Electrician contributes to the electrical services team by efficiently maintaining electrical equipment, lighting equipment and fire alarm systems following accepted procedures and techniques of the electrical trade. Collaborates on environmental sustainability initiatives and champion socially conscious behavior.

This position is considered “Essential Personnel”, requiring the employee to report to or remain at work for emergencies and inclement weather events, if instructed to do so.

Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical/vocational school electrical education preferred.
• Journeyman’s Electrical License required, Master’s License preferred.
• 4 years’ experience in the electrical field is required.
• Knowledge of National Electric Codes.
• Knowledge of methods, tools and hazards of the trade (NFPA-70E and L.O.T.O).
• Ability to inspect equipment and systems, determine malfunction and make necessary repairs.
• Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting is preferred.

• Willingness and ability to learn additional applications as needed.
• High degree of organizational skills with the ability to be flexible and multi-task with accuracy.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions, maintain a professional demeanor and restraint at all times, including stressful situations.
