NH-JAG, a statewide 501(c)3 organization dedicated to engaging youth most at risk in developing the leadership, academic engagement and career skills to graduate from high school and pursue meaningful lives, is seeking an Executive Director.
The Executive Director is responsible for the strategic vision, operational management, programming, legislative and community relations and funding for the organization. Comprehensive offerings include high school, college and career transition programs as well as out-of-school recovery and employment training.
Qualified candidates will possess a Master's Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum three year track record in successful nonprofit program management and sustainability preferably in the educational arena serving youth. Also required are strong organizational, communication, public relations and people skills, knowledge of federal, state and grant funding sources for alternative education, and demonstrated achievements in facilitating public/private collaboration to achieve outcomes. An ability to effectively manage and motivate staff and volunteer involvement is also essential.
Primary responsibilities are to effectively develop and utilize resources for maintaining NH-JAG program quality, expanding partnerships among participating schools and community-based organizations and securing funding. The Executive Director is also responsible for organizational financial management, human resources, administrative systems and compliance with regulatory and funding requirements. Some travel and attending weekend and evening events required.
